The American Food Venture Forum is the first venture capital and private equity event focused entirely on companies involved in the production, distribution, storage, preparation and testing of food.
Firms representing more than $1 billion in investment capital will hear presentations by 15 companies seeking seed to expansion investment capital, as well as plenary sessions of interest to both entrepreneurs and potential investors.
The forum will immediately precede the World Food Prize Foundation’s annual Borlaug Dialogue and Laureate Award Ceremony held in Des Moines October 15-17. The Prize is the foremost international award recognizing achievements in improving the quality, quantity or availability of food. The Foundation sponsors a series of events exploring the latest scientific and public policy efforts to ensure a nutritious and sustainable food supply throughout the world.
